Sew Many Quilts is Located in the
historic downtown section of Tracy, California. We carry
100% cotton fabric for quilting and other sewing and craft
projects. We also carry a complete line of notions,
decorative buttons, books and patterns, and gifts. Come and
see the “International Room” showcasing ethnic fabrics such
as Australian, Hawaiian, African and Asian fabrics as well
as African mud-cloth and African and Indonesian Batiks. In
addition, Sew Many Quilts has a focus on American Civil War
era designs, many of which served as coded messages for
escaped slaves making their way north, via the underground
railroad.
Beginning to advanced quilting classes are offered with
guest lectures and quilt trunk shows to keep you up to date
on the newest trends. We works with guilds in the area to
bring in teachers from around the country who bring
specialized techniques and classes to the local quilters.
Sew Many Quilts is also involved in community service
projects. “Foster a Dream” was started in my brother’s
memory to provide comfort to those in local foster homes.
The quilts stay with the child from foster care to
reunification with their families or to adoptive families.
Give us a hand by donating a portion of your time to making
these quilts.
