Jo's Little Women
Our club is now 9 months old and the projects made by the members are great. In fact some of the projects have been expanded from the original pattern - which is always a good thing. And each months new pattern offers new opportunities for creativity.
We spend part of each meeting sharing the projects from previous meetings and I have been trying to bring in some history of quiltmaking. We are exploring the production of our wonderful fabrics and beginning to learn more about quilts from the 1800s. Our projects are made from Andover Fabrics which have been designed by Jo Morton and the little quilts are designed by Jo Morton. There is no upper limit to the membership so why not plan to check us out.

“Evening Star” (Quick Strip Paper Piecing)
Taught by Peggy Martin
Date: August 29th, Saturday
Time: 10:30 - 4:30 p.m.
Cost: $50

Peggy Martin, author of a number of books through C & T publishing will teach you one of her new patterns. “Evening Star” is one block set on-point with fabulous fabric used in the corners. Students will learn Quick-Strip Paper Piecing, a faster, easier method of paper piecing on strips. Similar in appearance to the classic Mariner's Compass, this circular design is simplified and pieced in a fraction of the time. Piece it in traditional colors for a classic look, or go wild with directional fabrics and bright colors. Peggy has been presenting programs and workshops at guilds and seminars since 1988. She has been nominated for Professional Quilter’s Teacher of the Year. She has exhibited quilts in the San Diego Quilt Show, Road to California, the IQA show in Houston, AQS in Paducah, and Tactile Architecture TV. She lives in San Diego., AQS in Paducah, and Tactile Architecture IV. She lives in San Diego, California and is married
